Have you ever noticed that youngsters learn better through the power of example?

We have. That is why we thought that a three-day training would be a great opportunity to mix some
friendship with some knowledge and see what we obtain.

Between 15th and 17th November 2019, ESN volunteers, willing to escape the crowded Timisoara
and go to the mountains, had the opportunity to access information that would improve their skills
and facilitate the transmission of knowledge to the other members of the society in order to create a
stronger community.

“From Group to Team” aimed to increase the volunteers’ skills on professional and personal
dimensions and enhance the relationship between the members of ESN Timisoara through workshops
and small sessions that focussed on teamwork, leadership, public speaking, problem solving,
communication, awareness regarding social inclusion, promotion of Erasmus+ mobilities and on
working as a team in order to bring better solutions to any situations.

After the three-day training, the volunteers took the gathered information and transmitted it during
the Share your Erasmus+ Experience, event that took place at the West University of Timișoara,
where they showed the Erasmus+ Outgoing Students how they could improve their CV and life an
Erasmus+ experience to the fullest. Moreover, on 8th December 2019, ESN Timișoara hosted a
Local Training, where volunteers who attended the initial training shared their knowledge to the
other members of the team.

The project influenced the participation of volunteers in our ESN local and national events,
encouraging them to step out of the comfort zone and acquire skills that would help them improve
themselves, the relationship between them and the impact they have on our local ESN section, thus on
the society.

The project emphasised that in order to leave one’s mark, people have to utilise their skills in a
constructive way so that they be important factors in the development of the environment they are
involved into.
