Our website has been the digital home of ESN Timișoara for years, helping Erasmus students discover events, connect with volunteers, and feel at home in our city. But nothing stands still, technology, our community's needs, and us included, so this autumn we’re embarking on a full re-imagining of timisoara.esn.ro to make it faster, friendlier, and more reflective of who we are today.

Why a Redesign?

  • A new platform. Our current hosting platform just received a major update and we want to leverage that as best as we can.
  • Fresh energy. ESN Timi has a new board with new ideas. We need a space that reflects the new direction that ESN Timisoara is heading.
  • Better usability. We’ve heard your feedback: some pages felt cluttered, info is outdated and more visual interest is needed.

 

Our Goals

  1. Mobile-first experience. Most visitors browse on their phones, so a crisp, responsive layout is non-negotiable.
  2. Clear event discovery. Events are the heartbeat of ESN. We’re planning smarter filters, an at-a-glance calendar, and quick sign-ups.
  3. Volunteer spotlight. Our volunteers are the magic behind the scenes. Expect a warmer, more personal section to showcase their stories.
  4. Accessible design. We’re focusing on readability, color contrast, and inclusive language to make sure everyone feels welcome.
  5. An overall better user experience. We want our website to feel fresh and represent the new era of webdesign.

 

What’s Next

We’re now in the ideation and prototyping phase. We're gathering input, sketching layouts, and testing navigation flows. So your feedback is critical to us now more than ever.

Our game plan is to update pages on this platform whilst preparing the technical back end on our new platform. This aids in ease of transition and  keeps us to from neglecting the current face of our organization.  We hope to be fully launched and transitioned by February of 2026 so until then prepare to see a match of the new and the old on this platform.
